A Little Bit Boho

Loft Military Cropped Jacket

I would definitely not describe my style as boho. I prefer structured cuts, romantic details, and classic pieces. While I believe it is important to define your personal style, I also think fashion should be fun. If you find something you love that is just outside your comfort zone or usual look, why not go for it?

This dress is certainly not something I would normally wear, but I love it! I typically shy away from longer dresses, since these are hard to wear when you are short. But the length of this dress (which I ordered in petite) hit me perfectly and actually seemed to elongate, rather than shorten, me.

Believe it or not, this dress is from the Loft, and I scored it half off! Honestly, I haven’t shopped heavily at the Loft in ages, but lately they have been killing it (like this skirt). Years ago the Loft was my go-to for affordable and chic workwear. But somewhere along the line, their style seemed to trend more older and casual. I am happy to see things might be changing.

This cute military inspired jacket is also from the Loft, and I love juxtaposing it with this soft floral dress. I finished the look with my favorite black hat and sock booties (these are seriously so flattering and comfortable). And I borrowed this fun Cult Gaia knock-off ark bag from Sarah. Since everyone and their brother has this bag, I didn’t want to invest in it. But, it seems you can get decent knock-offs on Etsy! Who knew?

If you are wondering about this adorable location in Charleston/Mount Pleasant, I have bad news. This super cute restaurant closed down. Hopefully, someone will purchase and revive it. How does a place this cute not make it?

Do you ever venture out of your style comfort zone?
