Well, Dagne Dover has done it again! But this time, instead of creating the perfect work bag, they have created the perfect crossbody bag. When I am not carrying my Simone satchel to and from work, I almost always use a crossbody bag. I prefer them because you can wear them and forget about them and still have everything you need at your fingertips. And when it comes to travel, I almost exclusively use crossbody bags for both their connivence and security.
That said, there are some things about crossbody bags that I don’t like. I hate it when they are too small (or have a really small zipper opening), have no organization or pockets, and when the crossbody strap is super long (and cannot be adjusted). You won’t have to worry about any of these with Dagne Dover’s new Andra bag!
There are so many great features to this bag I don’t know where to begin. I’ll start with Dagne Dover’s signature organization. Not only does the bag come with two large compartments — one that fits their slim wallet perfectly and one larger main compartment — it also has card slots (perfect for metro cards), lipstick holders, a zippered compartment, key leash, and outside pocket for your phone. I am amazed at how much I can fit into this bag!
The outside of the bag is equally thought out. The strap is completely adjustable and, unlike a lot of other crossbody bags, there is no awkward strap flap dangling off the end if you have to make it super short (like me). But my two favorite details are the pebbled leather, magnetic flap closures and the gold hardware. All give the bag a super polished and expensive look. Oh, and you can also detach the strap and use it as a clutch.
To go with my perfect new crossbody, Dagne Dover also sent me their new slim wallet in agate. I am not sure what I love more about the wallet, how functional it is or the gorgeous agate design! This wallet has a million card slots (thank goodness because I need these), enough pockets to carry several different currencies, and a extra larger zippered side pocket, which will be amazing for all my euro coins! Despite all that it holds, it still manages to keep its slim shape and slip perfectly into my Andra crossbody.
This bag (and wallet) will definitely be added to my list of best purses for travel!
