As a city, Charleston is that perfect blend of country charm and city chic. It has all the modern conveniences of city life with all the charm of old colorful buildings and friendly locals. I am sure it comes as no surprise that Rainbow Row is one of my favorite streets in Charleston. I was hoping that this colorful section once belonged to the historic French quarter of the city, since I wore a beret with this look, but sadly it was just south it. So no fun blog story about my beret in the old French Quarter, sorry.
I am pretty much a sucker for two things in life (besides a beret) — colorful buildings (preferably pink) and double-breasted anything (skirts, blazers, etc.). So, when I discovered this adorable skirt at the Loft, I bought it in every color (black, green, and this plaid) during their most recent 40% off sale. I wish they had more colors and patterns because this skirt is perfect for both work and play. It is comfortable enough for travel and weekends but still chic enough for the office.
The black and green versions of this skirt are great versatile basics for my new work wardrobe that I am currently building. I don’t know about you, but I go through phases with the Loft. I have not loved much there in a while. But they seem to be making a come back this fall, which is great, becuase their prices are fantastic especially given their constant sales. In fact, right now everything is 50% off!
Have you taken advantage of the Loft’s fabulous sales as of late?
