Berry, or burgundy, is one of my favorite jewel-toned hues for fall. It is versatile — it easily pairs with black, grey, white, and navy — and is pretty much universally flattering on all completions. Do it in a cropped hem with brass-gold button details, and I am sold! Dear Club Monaco, just go ahead and take all my money this fall.
I knew these pants would be great for work, but still true to my personal style and aesthetic. Like with any new article of clothing, I forced myself to create three different looks with items already in my closet before deciding to keep them. I quickly realized they are very versatile. You can go classic and wear them with a simple cream sweater or black top, or kick it up a notch and play with patterns and add a funky boot. The options are endless.
As I was reviewing my fall work wardrobe, I realized that there is a lot of berry and burgundy happening, and I am not mad about it. Last week I picked up this tie-neck blouse during Ann Taylor’s most recent 40% off sale. If you missed it, don’t worry. With next weekend being a holiday weekend, I am sure there will be another promo.
