I have to say that this turned out to be one of my all-time favorite looks! If you follow me on Instagram, than you saw in my stories that I did a little DIY-ing to this double breasted plaid Loft blazer. I liked the blazer well enough, but I felt like it was missing something. I wondered if I could elevate the look of it by adding some gold buttons and adjusting the placement of the buttons à la Veronica Beard or Balmain. Two brands that make killer blazers, but that are not in my budget.
With 20 bucks worth of gold buttons from Amazon and 20 minutes of my time, I was able to transform this blazer from ordinary to extraordinary… if I do so so myself! I was so in love with my new blazer, that I decided to go all out with the styling — pussy bow, beret, oversized sunnies, and these amazing loafers. This look reflects my personal style to a T.
Full disclosure, I splurged on this skirt because I am a sucker for double breasted anything and I was looking for something in this color. While I loved the look of the skirt, I ended up returning it because I was not happy with the quality. I thought the quality was terrible for the high price. I was so disappointed because I felt like look wise, this skirt is exactly what I have been searching for. Here’s hoping I can find something similar.
