I am not going to lie, I resisted the coveted Cult Gaia Ark Bag all last year. I loved it, but it seemed that everyone had one. Plus I wondered how well the wood would wear over time. I also wondered how practical the shape would be. Instead, I invested in some great rattan bags. But, I always found myself gravitating to Cult Gaia. When they released colored acrylic versions, I almost took the plunge.

Unfortunately (fortunately?) the acrylic bags seemed to fly out of stock before I could settle on a color. Once I decided that I couldn’t live without this statement bag, I couldn’t decide which color I wanted! I deemed it a sign and stopped looking. Then last month I spotted this multi-color version. It was the bag I wanted, in the durable acrylic, but was also a bit different thanks to its multi-color pastel palette!

While this bag will certainly look great paired with neutrals, I decided to go all out for its debut. I paired this pale pink top with this gorgeous yellow knit skirt and topped it with my favorite over-sized red coat (which I think is a steal under $140). Lastly, I added a bit of height to offset the midi length of this skirt with these fun mod-inspired white booties, which are actually very comfortable.

Honestly, this bag isn’t completely unpractical. But, I like carry bags by top handles; I don’t always need a shoulder or cross-body strap. It easily held my phone, wallet, lipstick, and sunglasses. It feels sturdy, is well constructed, and doesn’t roll or tip when you set it down (I was concerned about this). Overall, I love it and think you will see me carrying it a lot this spring. What can I say, I drank the Kool-Aid!

So, are you on the Cult Gaia bandwagon?
