I’ll be honest, moving to a small town in Georgia has been an adjustment, and (for better or worse) I have not spent much time in my new hometown. I basically escape to Savannah or Atlanta every other weekend. But, as I recently discovered, mid- to late-February is Japanese magnolia season here! These gorgeous pink trees are everywhere and it is stunning. Combined with the recent record-high temps, it really feels like spring.

Magnolia gazing was the perfect excuse to break out my favorite floral trench. I have worn this trench non-stop since purchasing it last spring (seen here). Sadly, there don’t seem to be a lot of floral trench options at the moment. But, if you find one, grab it. I love mine and have never regretted purchasing it. You might think that it is hard to match, but honestly it goes with so much. To offset all of the sweet pinks everywhere, I paired my floral trench with this warm, rust colored silk Madewell dress (currently on major sale here). Of course, no spring look is complete without my favorite spring bag – my multi-color acrylic Cult Gaia arc bag.

I have also learned that after the magnolias, the gorgeous white Bartlett pear trees will bloom followed by a million pink cherry blossoms. I am so ready!
