Visit Tampa Bay -- Food Guide

Moving away from Tampa was tough, and I still miss it every day. It is kind of the perfect city. Big enough to have everything you want, but still small enough to feel like a community. I miss the culture and the food scene terribly – Oxford Exchange, Datz, The Columbia, Fresh Kitchen, and the Refinery… just to name a few of my favorites.

So when Visit Tampa Bay invited me to return and blog about Tampa’s historic food scene, I was all in! For three days I basically ate my way through Tampa Bay! I enjoyed everything thing from historic bakeries to fine dining.

It was a little weird returning, and knowing that I no longer lived there. I drove by my old condo and it felt surreal. Although I didn’t really grow up there, it was the first city I lived on my own. It was where I got my first job, experienced my first heartbreak, and went to grad school. Tampa will always hold a special place in my heart and will always feel like home. I have a feeling I will continue to return every chance I get!
