You all have probably noticed on Instagram that I have been spending a lot of time in Savannah. I have fallen in love with Savannah (and the “Lowcountry” in general). I know I have shared a map guide of Savannah before, but every weekend I discover a new place to eat or street to stroll. So I thought I should share some of my recent discoveries and update my Savannah map guide.
What to do in Savannah
Savannah is one of those slow southern cities where there is a lot to do and nothing to do all at the same time. It is not a city with a ton of sights in a traditional sense, but it has so much charm that just strolling its historic streets is plenty of entertainment. I like to explore on foot, eating pralines and enjoying that open container law along the way. If you need more tangible plans, I recommend the following:
- Take a ghost tour or history walking tour with Genteel & Bard
- Tour a historic home like the Owens-Thomas House
- Take a historic trolley tour
- Visit the ruins of the Wormsloe Plantation
Where to eat in Savannah
I am pretty sure eating is my favorite pastime in Savannah. There is no shortage of delicious, trendy, and charming eateries. My current favorites include:
- Treylor Park
- Collins Quarter
- Little Duck Dinner
- SoHo South Cafe
In addition to my favorite things to see and places to eat, my map below (and also available here) also marks my favorite places to stay and favorite photo ops. Enjoy!
